Jewelry Makeover
If you have beaded jewelry that
just doesn't suit you in its present form, we can work together to
transform the piece into something that you love to wear. Jewelry
items inherited from family members, found at flea markets and received as
gifts are perfect candidates for makeovers. It's a great way to
revive your jewelry wardrobe and recycle the items that you own already! |

This client had a few
necklaces and a bracelet that she wanted to have transformed into one
long necklace that could be worn in different ways; the result is below. |

This client had an old
necklace that had been separated from its second strand at some point
and was too tight; I restrung the necklace, changed the clasp and added
labradorite rondelles to extend the length and enhance the existing grey
glass beads. |

This client had a few broken necklaces and a wonderful turquoise/silver
pendant from the '70s that she wanted to have transformed into something
modern. |

This client had a necklace
that had been her grandmother's; it held great sentimental value, but was too
short and in a state of disrepair. I restrung the pendant and
beads and added malachite rounds that were very similar to the green
beads in the original necklace. |

This client
wanted to have her turquoise necklace lengthened, a pendant added, and a
pair of earrings made to complement the finished design. |

This long-distance client needed earrings
for a necklace. She emailed a photo of the necklace to me, and I incorporated
various design elements from the original piece into earrings that
would complement the overall tone of the necklace. |

This client had a jade and
gold necklace that she never wore because she didn't like the style of
the necklace or the gold. I recycled the jade from the necklace,
added a few additional jade beads, and created a piece that the client
can wear every day. |

This client received a lovely
carnelian ensemble from a friend, but the pieces were not constructed
solidly. To incorporate some loose faceted carnelians that she
also had, I broke the necklace into two separate ensembles while
retaining the color signature of the original set. |

| A
client had a necklace that was too long for her small frame, so she
asked me to break it down and make earrings, a bracelet and a smaller
necklace with the malachite beads. |

This client acquired a
Murano glass necklace that was too short for her; I added aqua glass
beads to bring out the aqua in the Murano beads and to extend the
length. |

This redesign featured a
pair of screw-on earrings in turquoise; I transformed the earrings into
pendants and strung them with turquoise rectangles of a similar color. |

A client found the
necklace at left in a thrift shop. She liked the design, but found that
the chains twisted together when worn. She requested a redesign into a
simpler style that highlighted the lovely shades of freshwater pearl in
the original necklace. |
